TECBEAM structural floor framing solution for Glenferrie State School

TECBEAM has an enviable reputation as a structural floor framing solution for longer span, high load and offset load abilities. Its design potential of up to 10kPa loading, flexibility for inter-floor services and duct location and in combination with autoclaved aerated concrete panels, to create lightweight long span masonry floors are well known to many specifiers and builders.

Less known is its applicability for roof framing - particularly in long span, flat or pitched situations. This new facility for Glenferrie State School constructed in 2009, required pitched roofing purlins up to 12 metres in length.

Designed with a raked ceiling, the construction could not have been simpler, as furring channels were connected directly to the TECBEAM purlins.
