Nogging Brackets from Studco Building Systems

nogging brackets

A range of four brackets makes up the new Studco noggin bracket family.

The new Studco nogging bracket system makes installing timber noggings - of virtually any shape or size - into a steel stud wall a breeze.

Noggings serve two purposes in wall installations: the normal role of a nogging is to stop axial movement (twisting) of the studs during the installation process. The other use is to provide a secure fixing point for furniture and fixtures in facilities such as hospitals, aged care accommodation and medical laboratories.

The popular Studco pre-punched nogging track serves to stop axial movement of studs. This product is already available from Studco. To provide a fixing point, timber is commonly used as it distributes the load across a greater area and provides a large area for future fixing requirements. The new Studco nogging bracket system provides a fast and easy method for intersecting the steel stud and the timber nogging.
