Windows & Doors withstand extremes of bushfire by Trend Windows & Doors

Trend® Windows & Doors and Smoke Control announces today that the Xtreme Flame Zone range of products has been tested by CSIRO to AS1530.8.2 and has passed this gruelling assessment confirming the AS1530.8.2 Assessment provided previously by CSIRO.

The testing was done to the Australian Standard for products to meet Flame Zone Section 9 - AS3959-2009 and AS1530.8.2-2007 - Construction of buildings in bushfire-prone areas and was carried out at CSIRO Laboratories at North Ryde in Sydney.

The radiant heat tested inside the window was well below the required under this Standard fully supporting the Assessment done by CSIRO.

This latest development is a result of Trend Windows & Doors® ongoing intensive research and development and extensive testing with the CSIRO over the past 5 years, aimed at developing cost affordable window and door systems which will withstand the absolute extremes of bushfire attack.
