StoneSet approved installer Glooloop recently completed a second batch of drain covers in Sydney for Canterbury Council. The scheme involved infilling existing drain covers with StoneSet using a temporary base for casting. The temporary base is then removed and the StoneSet is in place to fill the large voids of a traditional steel drain cover whilst remaining fully permeable with flow rates in the region of 360mm/hour.
By in filling the gaps of the drain cover with porous StoneSet the pollutants which would normally be washed down the drains are instead left on the surface to be cleaned away and therefore helping improve the quality of the local water systems.
