XBlaze® from Austral Insulation Vic - non-combustible panels for walls, paritions and ceilings
Austral Insulation Vic's XBlaze® non-combustible panels (suitable for
wall, partition and ceiling panels) are stressed skin panels manufactured on an insulated
panel production line. Panel cores are non-combustible XFlam™ bonded under pressure to
Colorbond® pre-painted Galvabond base steel facings.
A relatively new development is the Phenolic - Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) hybrid core material.
These composite materials, consisting of EPS beads encapsulated in a Phenolic matrix combine
the fire performance and some relatively low smoke production properties of Phenolic core
materials, as well as the thermal insulation properties of EPS core materials.
The introduction of the Phenolic matrix results in a core material of limited combustibility
which experiences similar characteristics to other thermosetting type plastic materials.
