Liquid sheet high build system by Gripset LS for immersed areas
Gripset LS is unique high build membrane system designed for a diverse range of
applications including UV exposed, underground and immersed areas over a number of substrates.
Gripset LS provides the benefits of a traditional sheet membrane with the unique feature of a
multi layer seamless finish, eliminating joints, overlaps and other risk points associated with
welding and abutting traditional sheet membrane systems.
Unlike traditional sheet membrane systems, Gripset LS can be used with confidence in immersed areas
for commercial and industrial applications. The system can be tailored for use with any of Gripsets
immersible range of membranes to suit both the clients and project requirements.
These attributes resulted in Gripset LS chosen as the preferred system for two projects as seen
above. The first represents a remedial application for sealing an existing pool at the Vibe Hotel
in Rushcutters Bay in Sydney. The second project required the sealing of large stormwater tanks
at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woodville, South Australia.
For both projects the Gripset LS system was used in conjunction with a flexible cementitous membrane
system that was spray applied to form a build of >5mm. The result was a high build, durable and extremely
hard wearing, fully reinforced seamless system.
