Concrete preparation by Danlaid Contracting

Shot Blasting
Shot blasting is one of the fastest ways of cleaning concrete, tiles, terrazzo and steel ready to receive a topping. This method of cleaning use steel balls that are propelled into the surface at high speed. The balls are then reclaimed and the dust extracted and collect in a bin. This system is ideal for floors that are to be covered by thicker topping.

Diamond Grinding
This method of preparation is the best way of cleaning of cleaning surface that are to be coated with thin coating or toppings. The machines work by rotating discs with diamond head segments mounted on various angles. The segments come in different grades to allow for a fine or coarse lines. We can carry out a light grind to just clean or heavy grind to expose the aggregate.

Scarifying
Scarifying is used to removed old toppings such as levelling compounds, epoxy and cement adhesives. This machinery is also used to lower the height of concrete.

Profiling
Our profiler is a bobcat mounted unit and is used to remove old toppings, ceramic tiles and mortar bed, reducing the height of concrete and bitumen.
