Graham Group. The Graham Group acquisition is an important milestone for the
Nepean Group.
This year we expect turnover to reach $280 million, with 900 employees. The
purchase of the Graham Group was an opportunistic acquisition that creates
vertical integration for the group. We anticipate Nepean Group Companies will
create incremental business for Graham group products. We also expect the Graham
Group to create new opportunities for Nepean Group companies.
The Graham Group is a privately owned family company which commenced business
in 1955 as a drawing office. The company quickly expanded into an integrated
steel product manufacturing business and complementary galvanizing facility.
The Graham Group is one of the leading manufacturers of steel products and
providers of hot dip batch galvanizing services in Australia. Graham Group
has commanding positions in forgebar grating, drainage and handrail manufacturing
markets, the steel lintel market in Australia and batch galvanizing market in
New South Wales.
The highly skilled and experienced work force has developed many leading Australian
brands, such as Weldlock, Mastermesh, and Galintel. Peter Hunt has been appointed
CEO of the Graham Group to replace the Managing Director Victor Joubert who is
retiring, after 27 years of service.
