GyroFocus contemporary fireplace by The Good House Created in 1968, this seminal design was revolutionary in terms of form and technical innovation. It was the first of a series of suspended pivoting fireplaces with a 360° rotation angle. This prestigious model, now the symbol of the Focus brand, has become an international classic. It has been exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bordeaux, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Grenoble and the Guggenheim Museum in New York and more recently at the Southern Ocean Lodge in Kangaroo Island, South Australia. This fireplace is made of 4mm thick steel, has a diameter of 1.25m and a weight of 97kg. It rotates 360° so it can be easily directed to face different parts of the room. The length of the flue and other adaptations are produced to requirements. There are 7 other suspended models in the Focus range and more than 60 different models all together, thus it's worth paying a visit to our new dedicated website; www.focusfireplaces.com.au. Specs sheets are also available on request for every model. FOCUS fireplaces have become famous around the world over the last 40 years due to their outstanding designs. They are regularly featured in design and architectural international media, and recently in some of the best Australian decoration and life style magazines. Designers and architects across the Country have been awarded for contemporary projects showcasing a FOCUS fireplace as one of the major elements of the design.
