Specification win for Park & Ride Canley Vale

The multi storey split level car park, commissioned by Transport for NSW is nearing completion and will add capacity for an extra 90 park & ride rail commuters at Canley Vale station in Sydney's southwest.

Standard and permanently on emergency Chamaeleon light fittings were specified for the vehicular driveways in the undercover levels with pole mounted Zorro area lights specified for the open upper levels.

A variety of lensing types were selected for the Zorro area light to provide a customised solution to meet the Australian Standard AS1158 Lighting for Exterior Lighting (Road and Public Spaces) illuminance requirements.

The lighting design also supported that the lighting installation met both the compliance requirements of AS1680 Interior Lighting for indoor commuter car park as well as the additional Transport for NSW requirements relating to accessible parking bays and footpath lighting.

Project partners were Meinhardt Australia, who were commissioned to provide structural and electrical services, installation contractors Digit Electrical and product supply wholesalers TLE Silverwater.
