Low flush and waterless urinals from Britex
Choosing between low flush or waterless urinals? The Arid
range of waterless urinals from Britex now includes the hybrid Arid Auto-Mist,
Australia's lowest flushing urinal. Rather than being a totally waterless urinal,
the Auto-Mist is hooked up to a 'Hygiene Clean' device that triggers a periodic
mist of water to clean the urinal surface and plumbing at pre-programmable intervals
of 6, 8, 12 or 24 hours.
This periodic cleaning is also a great preventative measure to the onset of uric acid
salt deposits in waste outlets, a common problem in waterless urinals that are unable
to be flushed with water regularly due to the presence of oil cartridges or sealant fluids.
Perfect for areas where washroom maintenance may be irregular, or where high traffic
may require more regular cleaning, the Auto-Mist achieved an extremely low flush rate
of just 0.467 litres per flush as part of its WELS testing.
Should the water be disconnected altogether the Arid will also work perfectly as a
completely waterless urinal due to its patented waste assembly, without requiring any
additional cartridge or chemicals that need replacing.
A finalist in the Green Plumbers 'Water Efficient Product of the year 2006', the Britex
