Marmoleum® Dutch design flooring by Forbo

The fruits of twelve leading Dutch designers, involved in a
unique and artistically free design program, are now unveiled with the
Australian release of the Marmoleum Dutch Design flooring collection.
The designers come from various disciplines and include well-known names such
as Marcel Wanders, Jurgen Bey, Li Edelkoort and Piet Hein Eek, and exciting
new talents like Miriam van der Lubbe and Saar Oosterhof.
Their inspiration was very personal, ranging from their favourite colour, a
colour with a great future, or a colour they felt was missing from the current
Forbo Marmoleum range; each one telling its own story.
For the designers involved it provided a unique opportunity to interpret a
product with a 100 year history.
At the 2007 Domotex International trade fair for carpets and floor coverings,
the Marmoleum Dutch Design collection was awarded the prestigious AIT Award
Architecture and Floorings with judges recognising both the aesthetic and
multifaceted material properties.
The collection is protected with the high performance Topshield™ finish, offering
superior protection against dirt, a matte finish and making it easier and more
cost-effective to clean.
Marmoleum has long been the preferred flooring choice among architects, designers
and consumers. It is a floor with many identities, fitting in any environment.
From classic to contemporary, from public spaces to living rooms. The intensity
of its colours and its uncomplicated character ensures that a Marmoleum floor
that will grow more beautiful with the years.
Created from renewable raw materials such as pine rosin, wood flour, linseed oil,
and limestone, Marmoleum not only looks good but is environmentally sound for its
full lifecycle.
