At electricalwholesales.com.au we are going green! We like Earth as a planet and it's where we
keep our stuff so we want to look after it. Being green is important to us; we are keen to do what
we can to reduce our impact on the planet.
We are on Green energy - 1/3rd of our electricity is green and we use less than 1Mwh
per annum. Our offset at the moment is just under 400Kwh. In the future we will be increasing this
further, with more research into solar technology. Solar is a good option for us considering the
roof on the warehouse is bloody huge! Maybe we could sell some electricity back to the grid...
cha ching!
While we research the best way to offset our vehicles, we have planted a whole bunch of trees...
Green Fleet will be working on the rest.
Recycling has always been a part of our operations and now we are taking further steps to re use
more things. You might notice that your shipments will come in other larger cartons instead of
specially made boxes, it's better to reuse what we have instead of shipping out tonnes of empty boxes.
Paperless office, where we can we read from the screen and print bugger all stuff now. Recycle
printing cartridges, get em' refilled and reuse em' and it's a cost saving too.
Food scraps, coffee stuff from the machine and anything else that we can chuck on the compost
is in and feeding the trees about the place. Even damaged stock and any returned products are
recycled; the items are inspected and then dismantled into parts to be recycled.
So we are doing lots of green stuff but more can be done, if you have an idea then please email
