Water Harvesting Systems - rain water tanks

The size of tank you need depends on a number of factors including the roof area, water usage and physical constraints on your property. Obviously the larger the tank the more effective it is in conserving water.

Match potential water captured to demand. Implement sustainable storage and delivery systems.

Since January 2003, there has been an overwhelming response to take part in saving water. More than 177,000 rebates have been approved helping Victorian's save more than 1.6 billion litres of water.

Rain water capture from roof area - 1m² yields 1litre per 1mm of rain falling. The Victorian Government rebate scheme was extended for 12 months from June 2007 and offers large water tank rebates of $1000 for tanks connected to toilets and laundries.
