Italian Porphyry stone bench tops Melbourne 
Recently our company supplied and our stonemasons installed a very unique porphyry stone benchtop. The project included the sourcing of red/burgundy porphyry dimensional stone, saw cut and hand split the feature edges of the 2 slabs which each measures 2000L x 900W x 90m thick. For the installation on site we carved and exfoliated the drainer, cut the hole for the recessed stainless steel sink and the feature fittings. The project, designed by In2Design Architecture, is a recipient of the 2009 RAIA - Royal Architect Institute Association - Residential Development Award.
