Sustainable Retrofit Event and KHD Landscape Engineering Solutions

Ken recently participated in the 'Reach for the Stars' event, hosted by ESD Solutions in conjunction with the Sustainable Living Festival. The theme of the event was 'Understanding the challenges, costs and solutions for building retrofit projects'.

The event highlighted the need to educate professionals about the options available to improve the performance of existing buildings. There are thousands of buildings in cities like Melbourne that can be retrofitted as a vehicle to extend the life of the building and deliver significant performance improvements for occupiers. As an exhibitor at the Reach for the Stars event, Ken shared his extensive expertise to assist professionals with future projects.

The event was also the Industry launch of the Growing Green Guide, of which Ken was a contributor. The guide was a project to investigate the potential to transform Melbourne's roofs, walls and facades into vegetated, leafy habitats. The Reach for the Stars event incorporated two workshops for guests, including the Green Roof Workshop and the Retrofit Workshop.
