Weatherboard Cladding Installation Considerations from UBIQ

INEX>WEATHERBOARD Cladding from UBIQ

For INEX>WEATHERBOARD Cladding installation, knowledge of the product from its handling to its fixing is one of the best customer services that you can provide to the proprietors of a residential or commercial project. Here are some things to consider during installation of the INEX>WEATHERBOARD Cladding:

Storage. INEX>WEATHERBOARD by UBIQ is lightweight sheet weighing approximately 20kg/m2 (16mm) per length. Once the product has been delivered, be sure to keep it in a dry flat area with the edges covered for damage protection.

Cutting. Do not use a handsaw to cut the INEX>WEATHERBOARD, instead, use a mechanical dust reducing circular saw with a diamond edge blade.

Framing. Make sure that the framing has been plumbed before fitting. The Australian standard for 'Residential timber-framed construction' (AS 1684) should be followed for timber framing. For steel frames, the 'Domestic metal framing' standard (AS 3623) should be followed.

Fixing. Do not nail or glue the material. Only screw fixing is necessary. Make sure that the right screw fixings are applied to the correct location.

Finishing. Some designers specify a timber-grain look for a more natural, homely and classic visual appeal. Use INEX>WEATHERBOARD Rough Sawn finish with a UBIQ approved paint system. For more modern designs, the smooth finish of the INEX>WEATHERBOARD is highly recommended. The material is coated with an acrylic primer sealer undercoat before the application of paint.

Safety. As a general rule, protective gloves are necessary when handling or cutting the INEX>WEATHERBOARD. For health reasons, avoid cutting the material indoors and wear protective masks and goggles when working the material.
