Opalz™ MDF Powder Coating from Decorative Imaging
Decorative Imaging Pty Ltd has joined forces with two building industry leaders, Interpon Powder Coatings and Carter Holt Harvey, to develop Opalz®, a revolutionary coating system for MDF, and become the only company in Australia licensed to use this unique process.
The Opalz® MDF powder coating process has reliably achieved the three major objectives required for successfully powder coating MDF. Unlike aluminium and other metal substrates, MDF presents a number of challenges for powder coating because of MDF being an organic material.
Decorative Imaging has utilised the latest technology from Interpon, who have years of experience in developing specialist powder coating, as well as a special high performance MDF board from Carter Holt Harvey, to develop the beautiful durable Opalz® finish.
The Opalz® MDF finish opens up numerous possibilities and freedom of design to create almost any shape imaginable for a multitude of applications in a wide range of colours.
With the absence of harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) when curing the powder coating, along with the low formaldehyde emission rating for the high performance Carter Holt Harvey MDF board, Opalz® MDF powder coating is an environmentally friendly option, both in application and for end users.
