Blind Elegance was approached by a new client from Terrigal to help
solve not only window dressing needs but also solar glare, privacy & security problems.
Style was important, however, the client lived between the USA & Australia so security
was a major factor too.
The client had an incredible view from their northeast facing home so Blind Elegance suggested
a solution that would give them the privacy they needed, control the UV to protect their furniture
as well as let them keep their fabulous views. Blind Elegance installed Plantation Shutters for
the sliding door ways and complimentary shutter style Venetians Blinds on windows that were
overlooked by neighboring houses. For the Northeast side of the house, Sunscreen Blinds were
installed to stop 95% of the UV glare while still keeping their fabulous views even when the blinds
were down. To ensure the client kept the same style throughout the house, static Plantation
Shutters we also used as a side feature on the sliding doors where the Solar Blinds were installed.
The client is very happy with the solution, as they have their "island" look and feel from the
Plantation Shutters and Venetians as well as protecting their home from eyes and the sun.
