Durable commercial BT Bamboo floor coating from Eco Flooring Systems at Dunhill
Eco Flooring Systems has developed a special Commercial Coating
for the BT Bamboo used in high traffic retail applications such as shops and cafes.
The slightly textured surface of the commercial coating increases the slip resistance
required in public areas and the extra aluminium oxide in the coating increases the
durability and strength of the coating. The BT Bamboo Commercial coating has a textured
surface and achieves the R10 rating necessary to meet the new slip resistance standards
for high traffic areas.
BT Bamboo is a pre-finished solid bamboo wide T&G floor board (152 x 1830 x 15mm)
available in horizontal or vertical construction that is easy to install and able to
walk on the next day.
The Dunhill store has installed BT Bamboo. A coffee coloured flooring was required by
the client that was environmentally friendly, strong and stylish with a super tough
finish to cope with the wear and tear of a retail outlet. Bamboo flooring with a
Commercial Coating was the obvious choice.
BT Bamboo flooring is stronger, harder and more stable than most other hardwoods. It
is equal in hardness to jarrah and tallowwood. The coatings are all water based with
zero emissions, and the High Performance Coatings (HPC) are applied as multilayer
systems by roller coating technology and cured by ultra violet (UV) energy. The
coatings yield extreme hardness resulting in high mechanical resistance to scratch,
impact and abrasion.
