Bamboo & Timber Select bamboo flooring - a renewable resource

Bamboo flooring is uniquely different to traditional hardwood flooring
with unsurpassed elegant style, durability & exceptional beauty, whilst offering peace
of mind backed by our Manufacturer's Australian warranty.
Renewable Resource - Bamboo is actually a giant grass that has been around for 200
million years which after full growth before harvesting is denser and stronger than
traditional hardwoods. A truly natural renewable resource that replaces itself
every 5-6 years providing food, employment and housing.
Strength & Durability - one of the strongest building materials in the world with
tensile strength per 28,000 per square inch rivaling steel at 23,000. It's important
when choosing your floor to consider the hardness. A Janka rating measures the force
required to dent timber, the Mosowood(tm) Bamboo is the second hardest flooring in
the world.
Style - special grains and colours are represented by the very distinctive styles
and options available, each uniquely different.
Colour - from a process called carbonization. Bamboo is similar to sugar cane and is
coloured by a steaming process during manufacturing, like burning the sugar or
caramelizing in cooking terms. This process sets the colour so that later when you do
need to re-sand the colour remains the same. It is not a stain but 'carbonised' or
if you like colour all through the boards.
Finishes - pre-finished or unfinished. Factory finished or raw, the choice is yours.
Finishes can be Matt, Semi-Gloss, High-Gloss ready to walk on after installation, or
maybe you would prefer raw unfinished boards for those who like the traditional
method polishing on site, these boards can also be waxed or tung oiled.
