Dynamic Composite Technologies Avance™ extruded polystyrene
DCT Avance™ extruded polystyrene has been developed by DOW for use where
attributes such as compressive strength, resistance to ground moisture and high thermal
resistance are important considerations.
Avance™ has a natural resistance to rain, snow, frost and water vapour which makes it an
exceptionally stable material, retaining its initial insulation performance and physical
integrity in exposed conditions over the very long term. It was this unusual property
that made possible the inverted warm roof concept, pioneered by DOW.
Avance™ is manufactured with a CO2 blowing agent, which has zero ozone depletion potential
(ODP) than standard CFC/HCFC blowing agents and is Green Star Compliant.
Avance™ is also HFC free. This means it has the lowest GWP (Global Warming Potential) blowing
agent of all blowing agents. The best solution for long term R-value and our environment.
Avance™ is available in a number of different grades designed to meet the performance
requirements of specific applications.
