Automated perimeter security products from Magnetic Automation
Magnetic Automation was recently awarded the contract to supply
automated perimeter security products into the correctional facilities market in NSW.
Wellington Correctional is a new facility that will hold maximum security prisoners.
During phase one, we supplied, installed and commissioned one MRS rising step. Phase
two was to design and install four sets of dual leaf swinging gates for internal use
in the prison. A number of additional steps were taken to secure the gates with;
different motor mountings, additional anti tampering devices on the control units
and perforated mesh to minimize visibility.
After successful completion we were subsequently awarded a smaller contract to install
for MIB40 traffic barriers for the staff car park. All our equipment is controller via
the Honeywell access control system. The total value of the contracts was circa AUD$190K.
