Sandstone Alla from Monsoon Trading architectural pieces
Old marble and sandstone objects, many of them one offs, are now
available from Monsoon Trading's Sydney warehouse.
This is an alla, usually found built into door tops, of traditional, old havelis.
The household would burn butter lamps in the alla, to call the Gods down to bless
the home. Beautifully carved from Rajasthani sandstone, this larger piece has
lovely gravitas and would look stunning placed on a small plinth in the garden,
with candles burning. A unique and serene atmosphere could be created, by building
a series of 3 smaller alla, into an outdoor wall. Part of our beautiful selection
