Designing for individual project needs, Tension Span Structures Pty Ltd created this
3300sq.m tension membrane canopy to house the Russian Space Shuttle Exhibition.
The curved arched membrane roof enclosed the space shuttle Buran, and also housed
the Mission Control Centre, 3D theatre and interactive displays.
This tension membrane canopy was designed to incorporate function and aesthetic
considerations. The high performance Tedlar® fabric used, well known for its durability
and dirt-resistance, ensures a membrane structure of outstanding quality and long life.
The arched shape and scale of the construction creates a statement structure which is
designed to impress and attract.
