A Plumber's Story - How EJ goes Above and Beyond

"On a recent project at The Samantha Riley Swim School at Forest Lake, a south western suburb of Brisbane, I encountered an unusual set of problems with some very stubborn access covers. The indoor pool at this facility features a wet-edge of plastic grating to allow the water to be level with the surrounding coping. It's a pool system that requires the use of balance tanks, which are used to store the displaced water as more swimmers enter the pool.

Balance tanks are often positioned underneath the surrounding pool area and require periodic inspections. To access the tanks, two large 900mm x 600mm clear opening brass edged covers are in place. But because of corrosion, they were virtually permanently sealed.

I could not handle this on my own, so I called on the team from EJ to come out and check out the covers with me. Even though they were not their covers, they still came out to help, armed with a range of many different lifting keys.
