Case Study: INEX>RENDERBOARD
PROJECT: New Home, Gold Coast, QLD Originally documented as a masonry building with core filled blockwork walls this project was simply costing too much to build; until INEX>RENDERBOARD was selected and delivered to the owner a high impact rendered masonry finish - with the quality but not the cost. As the owner comments, "The render board allowed me to build my home with huge savings on the price, but as far as I am concerned no loss to the quality. It's really like a thin pre-cast concrete panel and when I tap the walls it feels like real masonry. I'm really impressed with the quality of the finish, it's actually better than I would have expected with bricks behind". Any lightweight render substrate board system is only as good as the final finish that it delivers. INEX>RENDERBOARD's delivered finish is self-evident from these photographs. The site for this project was alongside the Gold Coast Highway and INEX>RENDERBOARD also satisfied the Gold Coast Council's acoustic requirements, albeit with lightweight construction. Note: This home used 45mm timber battens on a timber frame and as such the owner has the additional comfort of knowing that he has a BAL-FZ and FRL 60/60/60 wall construction, even though no statutory fire resistance was required for the project. |
