Davey Pumps allow for vital rain water saving

The recent round of 22 Victorian Government Smart Water Fund Grants saw Davey Products given a grant to encourage both domestic
and institutional users to install water tanks. The company will establish an educational and awareness program for the Victorian public to
inform them about the value and savings which the use of rainwater can make as a substitute to mains potable water use.
Max Ekins, Davey Product's product manager says the potential rain water savings benefits are about 2.4m kilolitres of potable water in a year,
even with a modest take up of increased tank use.
"The Smart Water Fund Grant will also encourage the use of Davey RainBank, the control device which giv es automatic switching between the
mains supply and the rain water stored in the tank whenever a demand is placed on a plumbing system for toilet flushing or laundry use.
"The main feature of a Davey RainBank is the automatic switching between the tank storage and mains supply wherever there is sufficient water
stored in the tank. Conserving rainwater which falls off the roof of a domestic property can assist also in calming stormwater runoff."
A Davey RainBank control unit can be easily installed by a licensed plumber alongside a domestic rain water tank.
