Forbo Flooring introduces intriguing new colour collection.

Today's architects and interior designers increasingly select materials and colours to emphasize a spatial experience - using light and reflections suggestively.

Forbo has developed a new linoleum collection ‘Marmoleum® colourful greys’, containing intriguing optical effects, to match this requirement perfectly. The collection was launched on the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy and is now available in Australia.

The inspiration - Breaking the colour code
The starting point for the development of the collection was the fact that the juxtaposition of colours plays a vital role in achieving aesthetically pleasing and harmonious interior designs.

Marmoleum colourful greys was developed in co-operation with the Dutch visual artist and colour specialist Peter Struycken. The collection is named after his intriguing colour concept that is the basis of the collection, combining colours in a way that they turn into a ‘colourful grey’ when mixed together, while each individual colour is still clearly recognizable.

The collection
Marmoleum colourful greys consists of a delicately balanced palette of six unique Marmoleum designs and six matching uni-coloured designs. All twelve designs have the same grade of saturation, which gives the collection a coherent look, challenging architects and interior designers to achieve surprising results.

Marmoleum
Marmoleum is the perfect natural, durable, stylish and versatile floor covering that meets growing concerns worldwide about the use of renewable sustainable materials. The material's depth of colour and flexibility provide creative freedom to produce the atmosphere that meets client's needs in commercial, domestic and institutional interiors.

And while Marmoleum has long been the preferred floorcovering from an ecological point of view, recent Forbo innovations, in particular the two-layered, water-based Topshield™ finish, make it the preferred choice for low maintenance, high performance flooring as well. The finish also ensures that colours stay strong and fresh throughout the floor's life.
