Bamboo and Timber Select offers a wide collection of beautiful Australian,
Asia Pacific and African hardwood timber species, pre-finished floating and laminate timber
floors for all projects. Installation takes only a matter of hours; on any level, solid and
dry sub flooring, and can be walked on soon thereafter.
The products are pre-finished in the factory and there is no mess, smells or hassles with
sanding and polishing, offering an ideal solution for the home renovator, commercial application
or new home construction. Due to the scratch resistant coating applied to all finishes, floors are
remarkably hard wearing; yet can be sanded and re-coated if and when required.

Solid Timber Flooring
Kempas
A course grained, Kempas is very hard, pink to reddish colour wood, with medium graining grown in
Malaysia and Indonesia. The product undergoes a medium degree of muting of the colour range over
time and a slight darkening to a medium reddish colour.

Cypress
From the hilly country of New South Wales and Queensland. Australian Cypress is a unique timber
with a colour and characteristic unlike all others. Cypress floors offer a characteristic gold
colour with highlights from pale creams to yellows and features decoractive knots.

Blue Gum
Also know as Sydney Blue Gum is found naturally from New South Wales to Queensland. Blum Gum has
a straight grain that is sometimes interlocked. It has a distinctive colour range from dark, rich
pink through to brown.

Spotted Gum
The word "spotted" refers to the soft mottled colour caused by weathering of the outer tree as it
sheds elliptical strips of bark. Colour varies from pale greybrowns and soft creams to rich
chocolate brown. A very tough timber, its wavy grain produces an attractive fiddleback effect.

Merbau
Merbau is grown in South East Asia with reddish / orange course graining, and exhibits yellow
"flecking" in the pores. Products undergo a large degree of colour change, with muting of the
colour variation and darkening over time to deeper orangey brown colour.

Jarrah
A large hardwood grown in South East Western Australia, offering a wide range of colour from a
light pink to deep burgundy-red with darker graining. Jarrah undergoes a medium degree of colour
change over time by muting to a medium to dark burgungy-red as it ages.

Tasmanian Oak
The name Tasmanian Oak is used to describe three species of Eucalypt commonly found in Tasmania.
Together they produce a blend of beautiful colouring from pale cream to pin and red-brown.

Sydney Blue Gum
A well known timber found on the east coast of Australia. This product is a 1 strip configuration
and has a straight grain with a distinct colour range from dark, rich pink through to brown.

Wenge Stain
Wenge is a uniform dark chocolate brown colour for those desiring a bold dark look. Wenge is one
of the world's premier dark species grown in Central Africa and the stain is generally over an
Oak base.
