FilioFocus glazed contemporary fireplace by The Good House

We introduced last week the Telescopic version of the FilioFocus fireplace,
the tallest of the more than 50 strong range of FOCUS Designer fireplaces. Here is now the
glazed version of this design especially created by Dominique Imbert upon request of world
renown architect Sir Norman Foster.
Identical in shape to the telescopic Filiofocus, this stylish model's hood is fixed (it
cannot be drawn up and down). It has four curved heat resistant glass panels that surround
the hearth, one of which slides open. The fireplace can work with the door either open or
closed. This model is entirely custom made.
In 2005, Melbourne firm Bates & Smart included the glazed version of the FilioFocus in their
acclaimed new design for the Sofitel Club Lounge at level 34, Melbourne CBD Sofitel, (as
pictured here) with a 4.50m ceiling height.
The 1160mm in diameter fire bowl can be integrated into, or set on the floor, or raised on a
custom built plinth. The hood alone is an awesome 2 meters high.
