Sydney Flooring Expands it Product Offering of Solid Tongue & Groove Flooringto include Stringy Bark

Sydney Flooring introduces its new range of Tongue & Groove flooring available in the neutral tones of Stringy Barktimber perfect for complementing the most modern through to a more traditional home design.

Bill Durkowyak, Founder of Sydney Flooring says: "Stringy Bark timber has all the properties required for a variety ofapplications, including installation over joists, concrete or even as a 'floating floor' and over existing flooring."

"With a Janka Hardness* of eight, Stringy Bark has similar hardness to the traditional hardwearing timbers such asTallowwood and Jarrah, ensuring long wearing performance," said Mr Durkowyak.

"It's also fast becoming a choice of interior designers and architects because of its suitability for staining. It looks equallybeautiful with a limestone finish through to dark coloured staining for more contemporary homes."

Stringy Bark timber comprises a blend of a number of eucalyptus varieties native to various areas of New South Walesand is available in both Select Grade or Australiana Grade boards.

"Select Grade is Sydney Flooring's premium grade timber and is for the client who requires a floor showing the minimalamount of natural features in the boards," said Mr Durkowyak. "While Australiana Grade exhibits more of the naturalcharacteristics of timber such as additional and larger gum veins and pin-holes made from insects."

Stringy Bark colour varies from light creams, through yellows to soft pinkish tones making it a natural choice of botharchitects and interior designers.

"Current market trends indicate an ongoing demand for feature timber floors," said Mr Durkowyak. "As floors are sucha major visible feature of a building it is essential that the choice of timber ensures long term aesthetic performance. The neutral tones of Stringy Bark timber make it a perfect choice.

Stringybark Tongue and Groove Flooring is available in 80mm and 130mm (both 19mm thick) boards.

*Janka Hardness measures the hardness of the wood, the higher the number the harder the wood.
