Properties of fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) grating CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
High resin content provides resistanceto a wide range of chemicals. ANTI-SLIP SURFACE
The coarse quartz grit finishwhere applied to the walkingsurface, provides excellent anti-slipperformance. FIRE RESISTANCE
Flame retardants are added to theresins to improve the fire resistance. RESISTANT TO ULTRA VIOLET
RADIATIONUV inhibitors are incorporated intothe resin to reduce the effects ofultraviolet radiation. However, someloss of colour will occur on longexposure. HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE
FRP grating resists the effects ofhigh impact loading which maysuperficially damage the surface butdoes not allow penetration. HIGH STIFFNESS TO WEIGHT RATIO
High strength, with E-glass rovingsmoulded into a square grid gratingpattern, provides a stiff and lightflooring panel suitable for foot trafficover a wide range of spans. Seespan/load/defl ection tables for eachgrating pattern. STIFFNESS IN BOTH DIRECTIONS
Due to the box pattern arrangement,FRP grating has load bar strength inboth directions. LIGHTWEIGHT PANELS
The lightweight nature of FRP gratingallows for ease of handling comparedwith other materials. NON ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE
The non-metallic properties of FRPgrating makes it ideal for electricallyhazardous locations. TRANSPARENT TO RADIO FREQUENCY
FRP grating does not cause anyinterference and is transparent toradio frequency transmissions. NON SPARKING
FRP grating with plain and concaveupper surfaces will not cause sparkingwhen impacted by metallic objects. COST PERFORMANCE
Compared to other materials, the useof FRP grating results in a long lifeproduct with low installation costs.
