Industrial Strength Solution Solves Residential Driveway and Veranda Issue

The owners of this Lake Macquarie based home had concern with the slipperiness of their strongly sloping driveway and their painted veranda.

They contacted the Global Safe Technologies Australia Team and have asked for a solution, which would provide them a considerably higher slip resistive surface as well as lift the aesthetical apperance of the surfaces.

The Global Safe representative has proposed using an environmentally friendly, highly slip resistive and attractive anti-slip coating, the Floor Tuff Ultimate to rejuvenate the surfaces, after the existing various surfaces were prepared and some minor repairs of cracks were carried out.

The Floor Tuff Ultimate product will provide a sustainable Very high Coefficient of Friction / Pendulum Class V slip resistance, which also cures quickly.

The owners have slected the colours from the wide range and also specified the speckling colours to be used.

The existing surface after the repairs was chemically assisted high pressure washed, the surrounds were masked to prevent over spray, then the Floor Tuff Ultimate anti slip coating system was applied.

As the owners' requirement was to create a very highly slip resistive and long lasting solution, the extra industrial stength version was applied. This version includes 3 layers of anti slip coating with additional very hard wearing grit added to it. The anti slip layers were sprayed to provide a more consistent, and aesthetically appealing finish.

As the veranda required a less slip resistive solution, the anti slip coating was "smoothened off" allowing barefoot pedestrian traffic.

The entire and sizeable project was completed within two and a half days, minimising inconvenience to the owners. The Global Safe team after completing the work have ensured that all areas of the work affected were totally cleaned up.

The owners have expressed their great satisfaction with the workmanship and are very happy with the outcome. They also indicated they could be used as references as well as to pass the company's details on to their friends.
