'Our event has clearly struck a chord with key influential people from a variety of sectors coming together to advance PVC recovery and recycling and recycled product development' said Helen Millicer, Manager of Recycling Strategies at the Vinyl Council of Australia. 'These numbers reflect the determination of businesses to change the current state of affairs. The sector-focused workshops at the event will facilitate people talking with others in their value chain including recyclers and reprocessors, and potential end product manufacturers.' Registered attendees include decision-makers and influencers in seven priority material/product streams: medical PVC, cable, flooring, coated fabrics, packaging, pipe and conduit. 'We know that we can only accelerate recycling in Australia by working with the willing and those with capacity. These people coming along are leaders and they will help grow networks, programs and standards to get PVC out of landfill and back into durable product.' |
