Bellis Australia is proud to be an official supplier of CORAFOAM®, an innovative closed cell foam insulation system by DUNA-Corradini. Through international group research and buying strength, the product development team at Bellis has sparked a partnership with the globally renowned Italian-based insulation experts. Top industry professionals can look no further than Bellis for a comprehensive catalogue of world-class insulation products in Australia.
CORAFOAM® maximises the insulation power of PUR using a state-of-the-art derivative - polyisocyanurate (PIR). Exhibiting a higher maximum operating temperature at 149°C, CORAFOAM® PIR insulation delivers superior performance in accordance with ASTM E84 that cites the standards for the surface burning characteristics of construction materials.
The lambda values of CORAFOAM® PIR insulation boards register at approximately 20.7mW/mK to 22.5mW/mK at 20°C initial thermal conductivity. With low transfer rates, the fire behaviour of the closed cell foam insulation allows for stability even under extreme thermal or cryogenic conditions.
Density is a significant factor in determining the thermal properties and mechanical resistance of insulation foam boards. CORAFOAM® PIR insulation is manufactured using high-quality components, advanced building techniques and the latest technologies, achieving optimal performance in both low and high densities.
At the low density of 32 - 60kg/m³, CORAFOAM® PIR has an estimated thermal conductivity of 0.021 mW/mK at 10°C. With superior thermal efficiency, low-density CORAFOAM® PIR is ideal for use in the insulation of walls, pipes and tanks. On the other hand, higher-density CORAFOAM® PIR is highly recommended for application in thermal breaks, pipe supports and other applications where mechanical stress is expected. At a density of 80 - 800kg/m³, CORAFOAM® PIR provides higher dimensional stability without compromising optimum thermal efficiency.
CORAFOAM® PIR is arranged in a tight, closed cellular matrix that provides excellent compressive, tensile and shear strength. The foam board can effectively prevent the passage and accumulation of moisture, thereby resisting organic decay, most solvents, saline air and other atmospheric agents. CORAFOAM® PIR insulation is designed to preserve thermal and structural performance with minimal upkeep.
Bellis supplies CORAFOAM® PIR insulation boards in 2500mm standard length and 800mm standard height. The blocks can be engineered into sections for pipes, bends and fittings.
