Ultra violet cured timber coatings by Highlands Timber Coating

Ultra violet light cured coatings are an extremely fast reacting
product that solidifies only when two reactive components are simultaneously present.
One component is an organic resin which is able to be chemically cross-linked to
produce a tough durable coating material. The second is the energy derived from the
high intensity ultraviolet light source. The fast reaction times are a characteristic
of uv coatings which place them in a class of their own.
UV curable coatings exhibit fast drying and excellent chemical resistance properties.
Environmental advantages of uv cured paint include the fact that it is 100% solids and
therefore has none of the voc's which poly's, lacquers & enamels have. UV cure technology
worldwide is increasing through the embracing of this efficient and up-to-date method
of coating.
