Joint sealants from BASF

Joint sealants are used to seal joints and openings between two or more substrates. Their main purpose is to prevent air, water, and other environmental elements from entering or exiting a structure while permitting limited movement of the substrates. BASF offers a comprehensive range of joint sealant and sealing systems allow for the sealing of joints from façade work to floors to wide high movement joints.

SONOLASTIC joint sealant products includes both single pack moisture cured products to two part reactive cure products and includes products with exceptional movement capacity and high hardness. The range includes products for sealing joins subject to solvents such as jet fuel, products with anti pick capability for use in public areas and products with large movement capacity for thin high movement joints.

MASTERFLEX products include preformed strips for large movement joints and products with fire ratings as well as products with exceptional chemical resistance. Technologies used to create these attributes include two part polysuphides, acrylic based products as well as PVC based sealing strips.
