The Beachmere Sustainability Project, Sunshine Coast, QLD

The Beachmere Project is a launch into sustainable design and building by Sovereign Homes. They were redeveloping a modest beach shack into a luxury, eco-friendly home that will offer long-term efficiency and customer savings, long after construction is completed, more than exceeding the requirements for HIA GreenSmart certification.

The materials and products chosen to be showcased in this home must meet rigorous standards: they must be proactively designed to be eco-friendly, and manufactured in an environmentally sound manner.

Sovereign Homes chose Thermofilm's HEATSTRIP® Max radiant heaters for the home's outdoor dining area. HEATSTRIP® Max heaters are engineered with a unique high-output, low-glow Incoloy element that saves energy by minimising unnecessary light output. The sleek, unobtrusive profile of the HEATSTRIP® Max perfectly complements the home's luxury look and feel, while also being a durable, corrosion-resistant outdoor heating solution, for the beach-side location.

Thermofilm is an Australian-owned company that has manufactured and supplied heating equipment for more than 25 years. We recently won the 2014 Victorian Manufacturer of the Year Award for design and manufacturing excellence, and its innovative, market-leading products are currently exported all over the world.
