Structural capabilites and aesthetic beauty of Hyne Timber are features of the Hyne's Queensland home | James and Jodie Hyne really didn't consider anything other than timber for their new home on the Mary River in Queensland. The house incorporates a traditional platform floor design, utilizing timber poles as structural members. Internally, the main features include hardwood poles, beams, skirting boards, architraves and spotted gum flooring, all selected for their outstanding aesthetic properties. | The structural capabilites and aesthetic beauty of timber are features of James and Jodie Hyne's Queensland home. | Using Hyne Building Poles and Glulam beams, a ceiling height of four metres was achieved in the living areas. Large expanses of forest red gum beams are contrasted with araucaria ply lining to create a spectacular curved feature ceiling. Treated bearers and Hyne LGLs provide the subfloor structure beneath the internal living areas. The external panelling is a sawn-face spotted gum chamfer. "We are extremely happy with the results," said a delighted James.
