Ronstan International present their vertical landscapes with their cable and mesh facades
Ronstan cable and mesh facades provide essential support for climbing plants.
When nature takes hold of the stainless steel X-Tend mesh facade at the St George Academy of Philosophy,
the entire architectural space will be enveloped by a natural green shell or hedge.
In summer, the green skin will shade the windows and the hard, heat retaining surfaces of the building,
creating a cooling microclimate and maximizing the efficiency of cooling systems. In winter, when deciduous plants drop their leaves,
sunlight will warm the building.
At St George, the structural net allows students to experience the green landscape first-hand without heavy balustrades.
