Abseil access from Karabiner Access features on Market Street
KA's Spider Men had their work cut out for them recently when
the team installed a Noracon monorail into the Atrium at Lipman's 2 Market
Street development. In line with program requirements at the site, scaffold
was unavailable for use in the job resulting in a 4 man crew working on abseil
lines over 4 full days.
The Market Street site is an environmentally ambitious development - designed
to meet the benchmarks for sustainability and energy efficiency. Cutting-edge
technology will be used that is rarely seen in city buildings in Sydney and
will extend to collection and circulation of fresh rainwater, specialised air
conditioning systems and better insulation that is low on power and high on
fresh air. The site maximise's natural daylight through the open atrium into
the foyers to create an 'outside - inside' feel.
Look out for KA on Cockatoo Island and at the Sydney Convention Centre.
