Unsealed road stabilisation from Soilbond
Treatment of Unsealed Roads
Stabilisation with Soilbond® A01 will improve load bearing performance and durability
of the road. Recommended parameters;
- Application rate of 1 - 2% Soilbond® A01.
- Depth of 75 - 100mm.
Treatment of Road Base
Soilbond® is an environmental and user friendly alternative to the traditional lime and
cement based stabilisers when preparing road bases for sealing with bitumen or asphalt.
Recommended parameters;
- Application rate of 1% Soilbond® A01.
- Depth of 75 - 150mm.
Unsealed Road Shoulders
Treatment with Soilbond® will enhance shoulder strength and reduce maintenance frequency.
Recommended parameters;
- Application rate of 1 - 2% Soilbond® A01.
- Depth of 50 - 75mm.
If the shoulders are regularly driven on, especially by heavy vehicles, greater depths of
treatment may need to be considered.
