Solar Solutions for Sydney North Shore Council from Greenbridge Energy  Case Study Sydney North Shore Local Council A Sydney north shore local council alreadyfamiliar with solar illumination had beenexploring solar illumination solutions inproximity of local residential areas. Greenbridge Energy proceeded to an inspection on the proposed site in order to identify a suitableillumination solution. As part of a pilot project to monitor performance of new technologyGreenbridge agreed to supply the 18 LED solar kits to the local council. LEDs unique properties are; extremely lowmaintenance costs, with LED life cycles of up to100,000 hours i.e. roughly 25 years. LEDs preferredinstallations are in the vicinity of residential areasand parklands due to a narrower light beam thenconventional compact fluorescent bulbs. Thistranslates to less light being spilled to unwantedareas which makes it an ideal solution forneighbouring residential buildings and particularlyfor endangered wildlife in parks and heritage sites.
