Economic Stimulus Package
It has been 3 months since the announcement of the Economic Housing Stimulus Package. In total there are 2700 new dwellings to be constructed and a substantial number of refurbishments of our existing properties to be delivered. Of the funding coming from the Commonwealth, 1,500 homes have to be completed by December 2010. The Department of Housing is tracking well in terms of meeting the overall target within the specified timeframes.
