(Forest Stewardship Council) certified forests, plantations, salvagings and demolitions. By Liaising with the F.S.C, Greenpeace, The World Wide Fund and The Australian Conservation Foundation, The Woodage has been given "the sawing edge" in timber supply with a range of wonderful species available for almost any building purpose. We are the first accredited Australian timber merchant to supply timbers with a "Chain of Custody" under the F.S.C guidelines. This "Chain of Custody" is monitored by an independent third party and guarantees the authenticity of the original source of the timber. You and your clients can be assured that the timber comes from appropriate sources following correct commercial procedures. The Woodage began in 1990 using a mobile sawmill to recover timber from storm-damaged trees, suburban gardens and local councils. In 1993 they added recycled timber and imported plantation timbers to their product range. In 1998, The Woodage add imported timber certified under the Forest Stewardship Council (F.S.C) system. The Mirvac Lend Lease Village Consortium has already indicated it will be purchasing from the first hipment of F.S.C approved timber for the Olympic Village. Other customers of The Woodage include furniture makers, joiners, boat builders, manufacturers and crafts people.
