What is Texture?
Chad Surface Coatings Texture is a Marble based product that comes in a 15Lt pail that can be tinted to your specifications. This range comes in Coarse, Fine, 1mm and 2mm that allows different grades of finishes. Textures are applied differently depending on the desired look your after.

How difficult is it to render my house? Can I do it myself?
We at Chad Surface Coatings have manufactured products for both trade and DIY markets; however there are products and finishes on the market that require trade expertise.

Can I render painted bricks?
Yes. Chad Surface Coatings have a range of products that can be applied over these substrates. It is not recommended that you use cement based products due to adhesion difficulties.

How long do I need to wait before I can paint over render or texture?
Traditional sand and cement has a 28 day curing time. Chad Surface Coatings Acrylic render bags have a curing time of 48hrs. This is important to consider when scaffolding is a requirement at your site.

Can I repair Cracked Render?
Cracks may only be from moisture drying out of the render a little too fast or even lack of expansion joints on your walls. If this is the case Surface Pro Render can be used to fill in hairline cracks. What is important is if a rendered area is drummy or has delaminated off the wall. This can be fixed by cutting out the drummy render with an angle grinder then gently removing loose render.
