Acoustic Ceiling Panels in Western Red Cedar from Screenwood

Screenwood at Deakin University

Frequently used in university lecture theatres and student breakout areas, Screenwood Ceiling Panels have now been put to use in the Chancellery Office fitout at Deakin University Waterfront Campus at Geelong. Screenwood was supplied in Western Red Cedar with a tinted coating, complementing the subdued colour palette and natural finishes.

The continuity in design is further demonstrated with the Screenwood ceiling extending from the reception area through to offices and meeting rooms. The linear timber system not only adds to the visual appeal, but also contributes to the acoustic amenity. Screenwood has been acoustically tested and is shown to increase sound absorption in internal spaces; due not only to the product design but also owing to the addition of exclusive acoustic backings.

Available in a wide range of timbers and profiles, Screenwood is PEFC certified and made to order.
