The assembly is designed to achieve an unobtrusive profile upon installation. With less than 9mm apertures, it finishes off with no high-risk bumps or protrusions that may cause trip- and fall-related injuries to pedestrians. Slip resistance is further boosted with a specially formulated anti-skid coating on cleat formation.

HEELPROOF™ is fully compliant with Australian Standard 4586, specifying slip resistance ratings for pedestrian floor surfaces. In particular, longitudinal HEELPROOF™ (LG30Dim-HP) is certified for Class P5 (V) ratings with 65 British Pendulum Number (BPN), indicating very low slippage factor. All anti-slip tests are conducted under stringent conditions by third-party engineers, for accurate and empirical results.

In addition to slip resistance, HEELPROOF™ exhibits outstanding build quality to deliver stalwart performance and long-lasting service. The pedestrian safe trench grates and frames are fabricated from industrial-strength galvanised mild steel or cast from ductile iron. These materials are also widely used for its anti-corrosive properties in the presence of underground moisture, saline solvents, and steam.

HEELPROOF™ provides facility to load classes from light Class A up to extra heavy Class D, in accordance with Australian Standard 3996-2006. The pedestrian safe trench grates are available in the length of 1 metre and widths of 150mm to 300mm clear openings.
