Here is a general overview on how to apply the Roll-on Texture coating for structural protection:

1. Prepare the substrate. The designated substrate must be deemed structurally sound for application. The surface should be clean and free from bondage breakers, including oil, grease, dirt, dust and other powdery residue. The applicator must completely remove any wires, nails and steel protrusions on the surface, stabilising all other exposed metal components. Fresh cementitious substrates must be left for seven days prior to application. To ensure optimum adherence, the moisture wood equivalent in the surface must be less than 15% at the time of coating. The substrate will be then equipped and its general condition will then be suitable to apply the texture coating for structural protection.

2. Apply the JPS Coatings Roll-on Texture. The texture coating material must be thoroughly mixed for seamless application. The applicator can use a regular, high profile or coarse roller to apply the material. A liberal amount must be loaded into the roller for full application to the substrate, starting from the floor to the ceiling. Once 4-5 roller widths are applied, the applicator must re-roll diagonally to even out the material on the surface. To achieve a uniform finish, the material should be laid off in either an upward or downward motion. The applicator will repeat this application technique until the entire surface area is covered. The freshly coated surface must be protected from rain and frost for a minimum of 48 hours.
